  • Studies in comparative literature and German philology in Vienna and Berlin.
  • 2001: Doctoral thesis on the subject „Literary Life in Melk. A monastery in cul-tural transition in the 18th century.“
  • 2002 – 2009: Staff member of the Austrian Science Fund project “The Book Market of the Habsburg Monarchy“
  • Since 2009: Academic staff member for the Book Studies academic pro-gramme, LMU Munich
  • 2015– 2016: Staff member for one study year of the work group „On the pro-duction and distribution of erotic-pornographic reading material in the Age of Enlightenment" at the Center for Advanced Studies of the LMU Munich
  • 2016: Habilitation at the LMU Munich on the subject „The Business of Fornica-tion. The publishing houses and the fight against pornography in the Kaiser-reich and the Weimar Republic“
